It is well known that many caravan and motorhome owners have difficulty charging their auxiliary (house) batteries whilst driving. The voltage drop caused by long cable runs often prevents the auxiliary battery from becoming fully charged. REDARC engineers have overcome this problem by designing a three stage DC-DC battery charger ideal for these applications. The charger (part no. BC-DC1206) operates from an input voltage range of 9 to 32V and is able to supply three stages of charge - boost, absorption and float - with a typical current output of up to 6A.
