As stated in the installation instructions, a good earth is essential for proper swithcing, unfortunately I only have the body available as an earthing point, as the wire is rather short.

Do you recomend earthing direct to negative terminal on Battery?
Sorry if thats a stupid question. I,m not that smart with the electrons!!

Hello again Ron,

Not a stupid question at all mate. The chassis of a vehicle is a great earth point, that is as long at your battery negative terminal is connected to the chassis, however you may also connect direct to the negative terminal on the battery if you wish.

Please note that in a dual battery setup (i assume you're talking about an SBI setup) both battery negative terminals must be connected together, and this is usually achieved through a chassis connection from the negative terminals of both batteries.

Also keep in mind that to get a good earth connection you need good metal on metal contact, so you may have to remove some paint at the point you plan to make the new connection.
